Just collecting cars but most collectors never drive most of theirs, but I wanna drive for fun. And just wondering your opinion. Please specify which S2000 or MX5 is the best and if tuned specify.
EDIT: I don't care much about which is faster, just which is the best to drive, handling and fun factor-wise.

Opera S2000 is very good as well. Isn't the HP difference already putting the Miata behind the 8 ball?

Well i would go for the MX-5 as there is such a large choice of them it covers low range to nearly mid range of cars. Also the DLC one is a delight to drive :)

even though the s200 is faster

I know it is better i just love the miata  every racing game i could it was always my first car

Yey! another person that finally agrees with me :D
EDIT: i have just realised 7, YES 7! people have voted mazda. wooh!

Make that 8 ;)

The Mazda is so fun and easy to drive, doesnt bother me if it's slower, I still think that the Mazda is the fun car out of the two.

The S2k is a really good car too so it is actually a tough choice but I don't drive my S2k often so I'm going to have to go with Mazda.

Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo can beat 20 MX-5's combined.

Fastest doesn't equal most fun - although I do generally prefer at least 200-300 bhp in a road car.

I'm not sure I've actually tried any S2000s in GT5 aside from the Amuse, which I don't remember being particularly fond of (though it certainly is very fast).
The DLC MX-5 is one of my favourite cars (though I've added stage 3 tuning and a supercharger, as it was a little too underpowered for my taste) and I've enjoyed the few other MX-5s I've driven in the game as well.

I'll make sure to try out a regular S2000.

While driving in reverse...

But seriously, I have done back-to-back comparos with the S2000, MX-5, and Z4 from the NCD. When tuned to 480PP they are very close.

In-game the Amuse S2000 R1 is pretty amazing to drive.

In real life... thats a whole other matter.

Hard to say. PP tuned they can be quite equal. I think the S2000 is a bit mor exciting in corners and i have been S2000 fan from GT2 so that's what i voted but to be honest they are quite equal... :)

I'm buying an MX-5 in the next couple of months so maybe I'm a little bias for this vote. Ah well I'm voting anyway :D

They are both 50/50 balance so handling is very comparable. It's not until you have to monitor the throttle a little more closely that the Miata is easier to drive for a novice. But the lower track times will come from an S2000 stock to stock. I have not tried the PP match, but imagine it would depend on the track. Long straights vs many tight turns.

In reall life they designed an entire racing series around the Miatas. I don't know if that has been done with the S2000s.

I'd have to say the Miata because because it's more fun than the S2000 (especially my "cup car" Miata).

That and because it's not a Honda...
