The design of the all new Honda Step WGN may be Honda's quirkiest design for a minivan. 2015 is the start of the fifth generation of the Step WGN, and it is sold in Japan only. It shares the same engine as the Japanese spec Honda Civic. Compared to the Honda Odyssey, the Step WGN is more expensive, seats eight people, and has more features, like "Food Mode", an option that makes eating in the car easier.

I'd imagine this van comes with other motor options, right?

I mean, I think the torque on a high revving 1.5 four-pot can't be that good, for it to ferry 8 people on board.
And last time I checked, Japan has A LOT of mountains.

This car has a turbocharger which is effective from the lower rpm, and the torque is 20.7kgf*m (1,600-5,000 rpm).
Also this has 4WD option with each grade (G, G EX, and B - the highest grade is G EX).
