I have a DVI capable monitor (19 inch dell flat-panel, 1907FP)

I was wondering what adapters I would need to make this work so I could play my PS2 on my monitor, both video and sound (to my sound system of course for audio)

the video output from a Playstation console is composite, analogue RGB designed to drive an analogue demodulator in a TV set. You cannot plug it straight to a computer monitor as this requires a digital SVGA signal. Some older monitors do have composite inputs in which case you can.

The DV port on the old PS2 models was pretty useless, i dont know anything that worked with it.

Your best bet to to buy a TV card for your PC and then connect it using s-video for sound and picture or AV for the separate to send it to your sound system.

I did this and now I can play a PS2 on my 19'' LCD screen but my problem is that the quality is really poor (maybe because of the cheap cableing included with the card...)

I have a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB...i am not about to buy a whole new video card...

Just tell me how I can revert the video from my PS2 to my monitor...
