I’ve been testing out a lot of podcasts now that I have a broadband connection, and in National Geographic’s Wild Chronicles podcast, I ran across this really cool video. The first half is rather gory, but the second half is un-effing-believable. So so cool.

And if you like it, go to the iTunes Music Store and search for “National Geographic” (both the Wild Chronicles and Video Shorts are really good). They have some other neat videos, like an octopus eating a shark.
 
Awesome. I've seen the first part, but the second part was new to me (and amazing).

When I go home for winter and summer breaks, I can be your dial-up buddy again. ;) Right now though I’m reaping the benefits.
 
I get the National Geographic Channel, but I don't watch it very often. I'm more in tune with Discovery specials and the History Channel and all that.

Bees and ants are very cool in the way that the relative stupidity of an individual compares to the amazing intelligence of a mass of them.

Comapre that to humans, where your average individual is pretty clever, but as a group we can make some really stupid decisions.
