I hope PD thinks about this so I can play in a server without some noob with his 1000hp supra or r34. I hope you can set the hp limit for your server to make things fair and fun.I aslo hope you can make it unlimted so you can drift with your buds or just goof.
Yeah I hope they don't put a time limit so we can mess around. I honestly don't think there will be a setting for HP serverside, I just don't see it being that technical. But I agree, it is a good idea. We won't know 'till it comes out
Well it's just not something I'd expect PD to add that's all. I think the way they will limit races is by adding a car list that you can modify or have certain "classes" much like the A class, B class, etc.
I think that's the way to go - make it a combination of the special events in GT2 and 3. 2 had BHP limits whilst all the games have had certain car only limitations. I think that would be the best for online racing - you guys could set up the weekly challenge online with exacting specifications for the race and people could only enter with the appropriate car. It wouldn't be too hard to implement either because it would just build on the existing special event limiting system.
I opt for online races in the following format:
- 3 heat per online race
- Cars catagorized by "power to weight" ratio
- Revers grid for top half per heat
- Weight panelty for top half per heat
there is probably going to be so many options like that for races, like only fr, mr, or awd cars in a race, $ limit or hp limit, most online games that i have played (non-racing) have tons of gameplay options to make play fair.
That post seemed contradictory because you told people tough luck if they have a bad car, but that there should be places you can enter <200BHP cars say. Just what do you want? And your Escudo is nothing special.
I hope PD makes all sorts of filters for the online mode, such as Stock only, restrictions on tires, and so on. Horsepower restricitons are a fairly obvious thing though, so I'm sure PD will include it.
