I bought an Audi R8 V10, if I'm right the horsepower should be around the 520-530 range but for some reason it said 505 after I bought it. I have not drove it yet but it did come back up to 531 after I did an oil change. I'm just wondering is losing 30 horsepower on a brand new car that was not driven yet a glitch or intentional. :dunce:

It's normal. My 0 miles Toyota GT-One has 746PS where in actual fact it should have above 810.

Intentional although i think a thread like this has been posted before.

I agree with defaulttoasis, this is pretty normal of cars, thought I have noticed the Jaguar XJR-9 LM Race Car '88 as an exception (It was advertised at somewhere in the 750 HP range, but when I bought it, it was 913 HP).

I think that GT Auto is meant to supply special racing oil that is better than standard road use oil. If I remember right GT Auto in GT4 said something along those lines. This would explain the power gain when you change oil from new, but not the missing power from real life.

Well I'm new so I didn't see any like it.

I'm not sure, but I think the old threads are still visible to new members.

Maybe the search function would help you find them? That should work for new peeps too :D
