What is the exact limit to how much horsepower you can have on a Canadian or US road?

None, that I know of. But I'm probably wrong.

not allowed to have any horse power?
WTF!!!
;)

i think its 500 but thats just what i saw on tv

Shouldn't this be in a different forum? Anyway, I don't know the answer.

i know a dude with a 620hp 5.0L, and he drives it on the road all the time in the summer...higher insurance prolly

Not sure about canada since I don't go back there any more.

But, in the US...
The state has the right to establish hp limits. (in my opinion that is a proper state's right.)

With a state deciding the limit, each state can deal with their own situation... I doubt new york wants 800hp monsters running the capital, but in utah... with the salt flats... big hp is probably a good thing. ;)

So I would say there each individual state of the US gets to establish limits.

edit:
btw, Im not sure about this, so you may want to go to the federal government site as well as any random state dmv site.

I dont' think it's a HP limit, but rather, a speed limit

don't know where I read/heard this from, but then the computer chips in the cars don't allow the car to travel over 200km/h or something like that....

and indeed why did that go green? i put puce!

yeah, u got a problem with pink?? me 'n SF 'll lay tha smakdown on ur candyazz....PINK CREW REP BIIOTCH!!.......man i am soo cool:odd:

In less than 20 posts, the thread starter dragged it off topic.

Started in the wrong forum, as well.
