alright i need help hosting a vid. i tried to put it up a while ago and it seems like noone downloaded it because you needed to register a name and password. leave links to free sites i can use or if you have your own or something.

or you cna download the video for me from where i originally uploaded it to, ill give you the name/password, then you cna upload it for me if you dont want me to login on your server or whatever.

thanks in advance if anyone helps me out

sorry, if you want to use the service, try next month. i'm deleting at least 50% of files now via a selection process so fresh ones can come.

Go ahead and deleat "S14 crazy drift" However, I would like to request that you leave my "Slide" vid up. ;)
 
I'm afraid I've already committed all the space I can spare, so I can't host either. There are too many people who want to share videos for a couple people to shoulder the burden. It will only get worse when GT4 comes out too. If we want to be able to share videos freely we'd have to set up some sort of donation system or something. It's the only permanent solution. From the numbers I've seen, I'm guessing it would cost at least $30/mo, for all the videos everyone shares here. As the popularity grew, the cost would go up.

hmm. theres another site like this one thats not limited to just extreme sports. you can still use that one as long as somebody doesnt report that the video doesnt belong. its free and you just have to register and it saves your password on the computer. i tried getting people to download my video from there but i guess nobody wanted to register. if we all start using something like this it will make things easier and wont have to worry about paying.

I am 100% against sites like this that require you to register before you can even download from them. It's absurd. Ideally, a person shouldn't even have to identify themselves to upload related content, it should all be as anonymous as the person using it wants it to be. That used to be the beauty of the Internet, but alas, everybody's too concerned with what something looks like on the outside. "Free space? Sweet! No harm in giving them a little info here, a little info there..." and before you know it, there are records of your entire life, and you have no control over those records. Things like that can be done, but not un-done. Think before you fill in your name and e-mail next time you're asked.

19xx, you can delete my FD and S15 vids if you want, jsut let me save them first

-edit- nm they were alreadsy deleteed, oh well,they weren't s great anyways. :D And ryen, you can delete my R32 vid if you need more room. :D

hmm. you know you dont have to be 100% accurate when filling out the registration.

all it asks is gender, name, and country, then email which you can just make a new one if your that insicure (for free) which is just for finishing the registration. you can type anything you want for name, choose either gender, and say your from Albania and still be able to download the videos no problem. if you use free internet accounts, do you actually give them ture personal information it asks?

they're yet to be deleted. i only took down the site until next month starts, and files are deleted until the last day of the month for the people who want to keep their 'nostalgic moments'. So far, only GTPDC vids will be deleted first because it's a competition. And shouldn't people be keeping a copy for backup purposes? When you upload a file, you're not expecting they can keep the files forever.

You're right, you don't have to be honest, but you still have to give them a valid e-mail usually. Even if not, I still don't like the idea, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Forfeiting your rights to privacy should not be one of the requirements for sharing videos on this forum. The only reason sites get away with demanding such information is because people give it to them. That's the problem with America is that people do things because they assume they don't have a choice. As a result, the market leads us instead of us leading the market. Whatever they sell, we buy, instead of the other way around.
