Does anyone happen to have a list of hot keys when you type in responses?

I've found 2 so far, CTRL + B is bold and CTRL + I (Which I don't know what it does yet). I was wondering this because it would be really easier typing in non standard posts :)

Thanks.

It's kind of annoying in an indirect way. I use them all the time when I'm posting here and I love it, but when I go to use the CTRL+I shortcut on a different forum that doesn't have them, it opens up my bookmarks in a sidebar.

I've noted that sometimes the ctrl+I key opens up the favorites menu even though I'm in reply to post mode. I use IE7 and is that what's causing this?

Perhaps, but this site is completely untested with IE7 and I cannot make any guarantees or assumptions with problems associated with that browser.

I'm sorry I had to dig this thread but my access keys are not working, Alt+2 for new posts for instance.

In this post, Jordan says that these shortcuts are available for Firefox, yet I'm running the latest version and I still can't use them.
There's no way that I'm aware of to disable the hotkeys in vB3, and I'm not going to remove the Javascript, so unfortunately you may be out of luck here. Here's a quick run-down of all the shortcut keys available in Mozilla Firefox. I have never been able to get them to work in Internet Explorer.

Are they disabled or is it a problem with my PC?

Thanks in advance 👍

Ciao!

They do seem to have some issues. I'm running IE7, and have noticed that other previously used shortcuts aren't functioning the same as they used to. I do believe that it has to do with the newer browsers.

Lady_DA surfs with firefox 1.0.7 and they function fine. Hence the thought its the new browsers.

I liked to use them. But I can leave without them :), I just raised the question because it made it a little easier for me to browse the site.

Ciao!

With Firefox 2.0, the ALT+S combination is no longer functioning because this now points to the History menu. Tab+Space should still work, though.

I've seen posts on other forums with users having these same issues and the reason was an upgraded browser in most cases as Der Alta suggests.

Posted this from FF 2.0 using Tab+Space. Going to switch to IE7 in a second and see if there is a difference.

Edited in IE7: ALT+S works here as nothing else uses this hotkey combination.

Re-edited in FF2.0: ALT+S works again. In your address bar, type about:config. Locate the string ui.key.chromeAccess. Change from '4' to '5'. Locate the string ui.key.contentAccess. Change from '5' to '4'.
