When are we going to get a proper permanent on-line leader board for all tracks/car classes, like they have on the xbox 360 forza 3? Having completed the game in A and B spec, I only have the seasonal events to do and a few cars left to collect. I have achieved platinum on gt5 and have nothing new to do in the game, apart from on-line racing; which is ok, but I enjoy the challenge of world rankings, which the game now needs to progress and be on the same level as forza 3. With forza 4 coming out in October, Ps3 needs to be more up-to-date and have a hot lap leader board, that stays on-line permanently and not just for a seasonal event. I have enjoyed the game thoroughly! The Vettel challenge was very hard and so was doing two 24 hour races! Hope somebody can answer this question for me! Many thanks.

Well just like all other online leadeboards, the top 10 would be the glitchers/hackers who do the Nürburgring in 10 seconds.

But there's a bug for make laps in Nurburgring with 10 seconds :P

Which is really just one more strike against GT5 because FM3 is actually very picky about what makes it onto the leaderboards. If you make contact with walls, make contact with other cars, draft another car, get drafted by another car, leave the track, or use rewind at all during the lap, your lap is treated as "dirty" and drops to the bottom of the board, behind even the slow "clean" laps that could be dozens of seconds slower. Not only do these things ruin your lap in terms of leaderboard rankings, but if you do any of these in the last sector of a lap it automatically invalidates the next lap, just in case you've done something to give yourself an unfair advantage for the next lap.

I remember seeing another thread with a pretty decent leaderboard, but I'm on my iPod and happen to be inept in terms of navigating it. I'd suggest a quick search.

In arcade mode when you are just doing solo laps around the track, the time will turn red and won't count if you cut the track or hit the wall hard enough. If PD did something like this or added penalties then the leaderboards wouldn't be filled with glitchers.

So I suppose I am saying that the leaderboards would either be based off your arcade runs or they would need to make a new game mode for it.

I think that they should make a new game mode on-line, purely for hot laps and have the clock go red, like it does now. They should make it strict, like FM3, with their triangle. Then I might invest in a new steering wheel and put my PS2 GT DF pro wheel to bed.

THIS ^^^^ and trust me, Turn10 quickly remove any and ALL fake times, so that the leaderboards are a must, they also show you replays of the top 200 times in each track / category, so you can learn the lines and go faster. Leaderboards are a must but we'll never see them.
