From Milestone, the developers of the Unleashed games. Out in September on PC and current-gen consoles.

In terms of cars, Infinite Rush will feature over 150 vehicles across four classes with unique handling and upgrades. These include the return of fan-favourite original models, while Ferrari also makes its Hot Wheels game debut.

Yeah, I'm quite keen to see how this turns out. I really enjoyed both Unleashed games (albeit, I played a lot less of the second one than I did the OG). The open world aspect is interesting.

I might buy this game on digital if it comes up for sale.

Of course the Ferrari pack is only in the double-price Ultimate edition.

The HOT WHEELS™ Infinite Rush Ferrari Expansion Pack includes:

- One new island: Isola Ferrari

- Eight new vehicles: F40 Competizione, 250 GTO, LaFerrari, F50, Testarossa, Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari 12Cilindri, Dino 206 GT

- New customizations for your profile and vehicle

Race through Isola Ferrari with eight timeless icons bearing the Prancing Horse emblem.

Live the Ferrari legacy on an island inspired by the world's most iconic automotive brand, with scenic routes waiting to be explored and high-speed track sections where you can truly unleash yourself.

The Ferrari Expansion Pack is not included in the Vehicle Pass.

That looks good. I like being able to take a photo mid jump. Also switching cars almost instantly is great as well

Really wished this would work on normal Switch, this looks like a fun game to play on trips.

No microtransactions is good but it still looks expensive to get all the cars. So many packs even at release. Hopefully that Ferrari one is available as a standalone purchase or this'll be waiting for a big sale on the Ultimate edition.

I like the fact that you can know add AI opponents to your created tracks

Extended gameplay

Dang it! I'll be at Disneyland that week!

Looks good and performance seems fine on PS5. I think Switch is only 30 fps sadly.
Bad time for it to come out though, so many game releases squeezed into the next couple of months.
I'll wait for a sale on the Ultimate edition.

Unfortunately (or perhaps unsurprisingly), the Ferrari included in the Ferrari Expansion does not support visual customization, and it seems that you cannot even change the color.

Cheers to the Italian rulers who won't even let us freely customize our virtual diecast cars!

...Seriously, I wish they would at least let me change the body color.
I prefer more subdued, gentlemanly Ferraris in colors like metallic blue or metallic brown to those in Rosso Corsa.

Hope can you be a Ferrari fan if your favorite Ferrari color is Rosso Corsa? J/k. But it does suck that you can paint them

My current rating for this game is around 5/10.

[Pros]
  • Smooth gameplay with no crashes or glitches.
  • Distinctive, unique maps.
  • All the new Hot Wheels models are excellent.
  • You can probably go to any area visible on the map except for the sea.

[Cons]
  • The physics are inferior to those in HWU2.
  • Despite the vast number of collectibles, they are not marked on the map, whether discovered or not, making it extremely difficult to find them all.
  • No fast travel.
  • Damage effects like paint chipping or dirt accumulation on the toy cars have been removed (possibly due to licensing issues with Ferrari or F1?).
  • While the map features many elevated roadways, there are few routes to access them, and the entry points are difficult to identify on the map.

[A fatal cons for players like me]

AI is used for moderation in the livery editor.
While this is likely the case with moderation in other video games as well, this AI is currently causing serious problems for two reasons:

1. Instead of the common style of "reviewing content flagged by human reports," it adopts a style of "automatically reviewing all shared content."

2: The AI's moderation criteria are excessive, leading to frequent false bans.

This issue makes it extremely difficult to create liveries in this game at the moment. I bought this game (the most expensive Ultimate Edition, no less) to enjoy the livery editor, and it's just awful.

I wonder how the track creator is this time around. Do you still have to upload the track to download and use it? Can you created tracks with local split screen with AI on the track?

F1 pack coming next year

This has only been available for the official F1 games for a long, long, long time. You could only get one manufacturer in every other game. Makes me wonder if they've given F1 or EA pots of money or if the EA licence (which was only renewed for a short term) is on different terms now and no longer exclusive?

It was likely determined that the fact it is a "die-cast F1 car" rather than an "real F1 car" meant it would not compete with the official F1 series.

Furthermore, it goes without saying that Mattel's exclusive licensing rights for F1 die-cast cars likely played a significant role in the realization of this DLC.

I totally agree with your statement. It will be interesting to see if they let create liveries for the F1 cars
