How about car colors ????

How many times have you raced the same event countlessly only to recieve the same color car you already have ? Perhaps,maybe,when you win a car,you can choose what color you like,so we don't have to go back several more times just to get the " sassy grass green Charger " or the " black Mercedes gullwing ".Better yet,how about a paint pallet,we can paint a car any color you want. Now lets not get stupid here and make it a "Need for Speed " game with body kits and all that kind of garbage,just a basic paint pallet,maybe with sponsor decals,minor race mods,again,not ' Need for Speed trash " GT1 kind of touched on this,where you could upgrade to a modded versions. PLEASE - give us a color pallet or at least our choice of colors.
 
im with you there.....I remember in GT3 i spent about an hour in a VW polo championship and then spent another 1 and a 1/2 trying to load and quit to get a red VW polo.

Thats insane, GT, Just let me pick the damn color.
 
I remember running the Nurburgring 24-hours 3 times and I got that damn green/yellow F1 car every time. :banghead:
 
^^I have done that race, but I always got the stupid looking white and purple one.

Too many times, especially in GT3. Wanted the orange Vitz, kept getting the pink one.

Already mentioned alot, but still would be nice to have, similar to the setup in NFS: Most Wanted, except have the option of coloring each part/panel individually.

Now don't get me wrong, but couldn't "minor race mods" include body kits (specially designed to help the car)? I can see the 'garbage' that entails 23"+ rims (including spinners), neons, crazy vinyls, and of course the bodykits just made for looks. But some of the stuff featured in NFS (as well as MC3) actually could be offered, such as the ever important option of increasing/decreasing rim sizes as well as widths and tire profiles.

GT1 kind of touched on this,where you could upgrade to a modded versions.

The Ford GT Spec II tuned car is all carbon, would be nice if we could do some carbon conversions like that in GT5.
 
Or have the option of brushed aluminum panels...and perhaps even bare steel.

Why not. If you want to be able to pick your paint color, I'm sure some people would like to take it to the next level. I use the cockpit view, so I don't really care if my cars are all yellow with pink swirls. Well maybe not the pink swirls. But If you gonna make the ultimate car game why not let people use body kits, spinners, vinyls, everything. If need for speed puts it in their games, it couldn't be that hard. It would add a lot of individualism in the online mode. I thought it was pretty cool to see some of the cars people made in forza. If your gonna add all of that though, each body kitg should have different downforce ratings, and so on.
 
Hopefully,if PD include an editor in GT5...to the scale of 'something like' Forza 2 then we'll be able to do a whole lot more than change colour.
 
Car upgrades should actually be able to be seen. E.g. in GT4, upgrading exhaust resulted in no physical appearing changes. Also, change to carbon fibre hood (lightweight upgrade 2/3?) resulted in no physical appearance change.

The car should reflect the upgrades we have purchased and applied.
 
Rather than starting a new thread , I am looking for information :

Does anyone out there have a sheet , list , anything , that will list all of the car colors that are available for GT5P ?

The reason I ask is, my garage is getting quite full of cars 130+.
When we all hit the 2 mill. mark , it's time to go spend money, credits , whatever.
Wouldn't it be easier if we had a sheet listing cars (already have this one), and colors so you could just take a quick glance at what you have rather than wondering "what shade of blue was that I own" , so your cycling back and forth looking in the garage and the dealerships so you don't double or triple up on the color thing (if your a color type of person). Thanks guys / girls , for any help . 👍


Ahhh , paint booths in GT5 , gonna be great. I've already got paint schemes floating through my mind. 💡
 
Sure you can have any color you like as long as its Red.:sly:
 
What I want is to be able to take a car you've just won, and then repaint it to suit... like on Forza 1. That was kickass in the customizing department.

I don't know of any colour lists but you can check on details and colours of the cars here

A check off sheet with every car listed with available colors would be just ideal.
