I was fooling with the PS2 the other day and managed to erase my latest restart!
I'd get mad, but I overwrote with a game that's at 95%.:lol:
I may be the first idiot to overwrite my game with one that's much more complete.:lol:

I am currently on a new, new restart and I'm going at it "backwards".
I'm opening all the Arcade tracks first, with all arcade cars. Thus far, the only Track that called for some serious strategy was Test Course.

The only courses I've done in "hard" mode have been the Rally courses. Thanks to MR P and the ARC.👍
I'm on "easy" with the others simply cause I just want to make all the tracks available, in the shortest amount of time.
 
Each time I hear this story I cheerish my Xport even more :D

But hey, this is an opportunity to do Der Altas BbB compendium ;)

Took me more than a few seconds to decipher your post.. First - I have NO idea where you live and have therefore NO idea how much it's gonna cost you. I paid around US$ 45 for mine. You can find the X-Port at the Codejunkies website... And yes.. The X-Port is a really nice little gizmo to have....

I'm going about it in a similar fasion: Arcade then TTs and Licenses, then on to the Simulation with my brand new Esperante.

By the way, you don't have to beat the Arcade tracks on the lower settings. You can just go straight for Hard and that will take care of the other settings as well.
 
Yeah, do arcade so that you can participate in the WRS, but what a mission to win that damn TT's !!! I got all but 2 now ...

I'm at the same point. Tahiti Maze is going to be a real bear to wrestle with. I think I'm still more than 1 second behind the goal time.

Then the Complex String ... I'll probably spend a week on that one alone.
 
Seems as if a lot of folks are restarting their games.

I think reading all this just might solidify my decision to restart.
I have no interest in unlocking all the Arcade cars and tracks so I'll just do that with the Xport. But what I'm looking forward to doing is all the races with the least possible advantage.

I know that you get all the "credit" for running in hard.
However, I really just wanted to open all the tracks for the moment. Running on "easy" is the most expedient way to do that. Plus, this time thru, I'm really just having fun. No agendas, I am even planning to play mostly "fair" against the AI.
I'm really just seeing if I have the patience and skill to do this up right.
Hanging out here has made me realize how fast I...ain't. This trip thru is part of trying to rectify this.
I may even be thru by the time GT4 comes out!

I used to accidently rewrite my old files...just a few months ago I deleted my COMPLETED save of Burnout 1...I'm still kicking myself, as that game was quite hard.

Leave some magazines with the pages of GT4 open around the place, one of your sons is sure to pick up on the hints, or your wife. ;)
 
Well atleast your still playing, i myself if i saved or deleted my GT3 Data i wouldnt be able to play for about a month, just all that i have just goin away, i dont want to think about it :( ;) ...
