How about we get back to talking about the game instead of..... I'll just leave that alone.

So how about telling us the story of your most epic drive online. Holding off a faster car, coming from down in the pack to win, setting fast lap after fast lap. Whats your best?

Mine was 2 days ago after playing the game since launch day. I was in a 16 person online room in a 5 lap race at Grand Valley with modded and tuner street cars (except for one jerk who showed at the last second in a Xanavi Nismo Z). First corner I get punted into the sand and I'm DFL. I just took it as an opportunity to press on. I managed to catch on to the second to last place guy and just started pushing. I pushed through every lap and got myself all the way back up to 2nd place! I would probably have won had the guy not shown up with a Super GT, he had 30 seconds on the pack. It didn't matter though the room acknowledged he was a cheater and I felt better about that drive than any win I had gotten so far in the game.

How about you?

PS Waah I can't dupe X1's anymore, waaah..... Just to stay with today's theme.

When I got tossed into a unfair race I was in my Subaru RA and 1 of my opponents was in a buggi ad other in a R8 LMS and we raced on the 2 laps on the high speed ring...

I figured ah what the hay I'll drive as hard as I can. So they naturally got out ahead off the first big curve but I could still just see them. They came around to the final corner and crashed into each other opening the door I flew by and held the lead cause they hit each other one last time. Then it was a mad dash to the end, they both ended up right behind me coming up quick but I crossed first.

Not much but it was pretty intense in my shoes, it was a fun race.

When I came second in the L.P.C.C.C, I was the only controller user and I managed to do brilliant in that 16 car race.

Another one was my first drive of Nurburgring sunset, it's amazing when I'm with a friend and we are in weak, 90's Japanese cars. Good times...

Was racing against 7 others in Cappuccino RMs at Autumn Ring a few days ago. It was an 11 lap race and by about lap 8-9 when the field had settled in I found myself in a 3-way battle for 3rd place. I was in 5th, about 1 second down from 3rd and racing the best laps of my life to make up the time. IIRC I slipped up on 3rd to last turn (right hander), kissed the wall and ended up 2.2 seconds down from 3rd in 5th place. 3rd & 4th place crossed the line 0.5 seconds apart.

In a racing league on an rx8 forum that I frequent. Laguna Seca with limit of 355hp 1050+ kg rx7. Did qualifying and came to the line as the tq for the race (out of 9 people). Race starts and because of host difficulty, I am the only one to take off. End the race, restart with no qualifying and random grid. I start 7th out of 9. Battle all the way up to 1st by 6th lap and end up being 5 seconds ahead of 2nd after 8 laps. Go pit as there is a mandatory pit on lap 8 in first place. Gentleman in third pits as well but the game somehow glitches. His car doesn't pit, just drives through the pit lane at 20 mph. When my car is finished with tire swap, I pull out behind him and get stuck behind. Guy in 2nd is now in first, I am in 4th, and error'd car (didn't get new tires at all during the race) was in 3rd.

7 laps left and I'm battling back. I am in 2nd with 2 laps left at 2 seconds behind. Small error by 1st place puts me right on his tail. Last lap, coming up to the cork screw right behind him. He brake checks me, I spin out trying to avoid him, he wins by 3 seconds.

Epic race. I had TQ time by almost a second and because the game screwed over my pit and dirty driving by guy in front of me, I end up second. EPIC FAIL

I was fighting with another guy on the final corner before the straight on Trial Mountain for first place, but I braked too hard and he passed me by a significant amount. Thinking he'd won, he swerved left and right afterwards, executing one of this "stylish" finishes.

So I passed him and continued onto the final lap.
