I played the 1st TDU on my Xbox 360 and loved just cruising around Hawaii and enjoying the beautiful scenery. I am curious to whether or not TDU2 has improved the maps on these islands and how accurate they are? This game is the ultimate virtual vacation get away for me. :) Love being able to cruise around and enjoy the natural beauty of the islands.

How are the graphics on the PS3 compared to the 1st one? Also I heard a lot of people are having difficulties playing this game with a wheel. I have a logitech g27. Will I be able to enjoy the game at least? I'd like to be able to play this game with my wheel and not a pad. So that's a big determination whether I will purchase this or not.

Other than that. I'm anxious to buy it and take a virtual vacation to Hawaii. Love that place. :)

That would be cool if they made expansion packs as DLC so you can add on different places from around the world. They really need to make more games like this even though I don't really consider it a game but more of a virtual reality vacation simulator.

I think I read on the TDU forums that the roads on each island are 90% accurate and the buildings around 30%.

Well they turned hickam field (the nearest military air base to pearl harbour) into a car park if im not mistaken.

 They have probably changed a lot of things to make the map more interesting.

True last time I looked on google maps there were no shoddy replicas of f1 tracks on oahu.

I would have to question the sanity of the people who designed the roads in Hawaii if the game is 90% accurate to the real world, i really do not believe it for a second that those roads are accurate.

The road shapes and the geomtry of the land would be about the 90% accurate they claim. All they need to do is get a detailed map and convert it to usable game code. Many of the larger games would use a similar system. Think stuff like flight simulators, they just rip large maps and make it look close enough to real life. It's things like buildings and textures which are innaccurate, not the layout.

Should be easy to find out just by using Google Earth.

EDIT - In fact, yesterday in my explorations I visited a very curious corner of the island, lighthouse at the top with a few houses next to it, and at the bottom, right next to the ocean, a few litle buildings, I guess the idea being that they are fishermen's shacks ... should be easy to find out if they really exist at that spot.

Cafe Del Mar in Sant Antoni (where your caravan is) hasn't been included, which is a shame. I haven't been there, but it's very well known.

All id say was the roads in Ibiza are annoying , they have huge dips that drop like 50 feet cant see this on a motorway in real life :(

I agree that the roads can get very annoying with all these massive dips. I don't think the car in real life would be able to keep going after them. :ouch:

In real life the cars wouldn't be going 200mph on Spanish B roads ;)

I wouldn't like to go 70mph over some of the roads in Hawaii in a real car (if they are like in game), they are deadly. I like the road design in ibiza more, i generally like the island more, apart from the fact that sometimes it feels like i am driving through rural africa, when Ibiza is actually a very active party island thriving with tourism.
