Lets say I have to buy the Formula GT to enter that race, it's 4.2 million or so. Lets say I run the 60 lap 2.5 hour Grand Valley Endurance race. I would have to run it about 40 times to earn enough to buy an FTG. How insane is that???

Buy an F1 car IRL. How many years do you have to work to retrieve the money for buying it? Probably more than the time spending in GT to buy the FGT.
I think PD actually made it pretty accessible ;)

Simulator =/= Real Life. Get over it.

Games are for fun, real life is for effort and glory. If you crash in GT5, you'll push the restart button, if you crash IRL you're as good as dead. It's that simple.

I'm not saying cars as exclusive as the FGT (or the lovely classic LM racers. PD really nailed it with them.) should be easily accesible, I'm saying that getting them shouldn't be a tedious chore but an entertaining and achievable challenge. Instead, all A-Spec mode revolves around grinding which clearly shows poorly made game-making decision choices.

I agree. Make it an entertaining, and rewarding challenge to get the car. Or better yet, make it a reward car for completing an event like they did in GT4.

Since the update when the credits got reduced back to their previous values, it's been pretty shocking again. At least they very much eased up on the grinding for experience. And I'm happy with that :)

Endurance races are for XP, not credits.

That's how it's used by us; not the way it "should" be. If you put that much effort into a race you want to be rewarded. Not fed peanuts.

To answer your question. The credit system is very, very bad. I absolutely love the game, but earning money to buy the cars you want is sooooooooo boring and difficult...

At least they implemented car sharing or I wouldn't have completed a lot of races. I still despise the fact that we cant have a proper test drive of a car before buying, demoing the car is so pointless.

The major problem is that you cannot make decent money on early races, you are almost forced to run the extreme events. Even more the last one in a X1, start champ, win first 4 leave last one in order to afford the expensive million dollars LMPs and GTs. If money prizes would scale with level it'd be a better experience altogether, you could race a 120HP 3 laps hot hatch for fun AND earn more than 1000Cr. You don't need more content, you need to make all content relevant from beginning till end. And don't start me on the damn endurance.

This again?!:odd: Game has been out since November but we are still with this crap?!:odd:

This.

To be fair, I'm level 31 and I haven't completed every event yet, and I've only done one Endurance race. So what have I been doing?
HAVING FUN. Go online and have some races for fun and you won't even think about grinding. I haven't been on A-Spec for at least a month now because I've been busy taking photos, tuning cars and racing online.
Try it sometime.

+1 👍

Couldn't have put it better myself...

The "I don't mind X so you shouldn't mind X either!!" post are getting a bit old.

Some people want to collect cars and are less interested in racing online. Let's keep the self-righteousness to a minimum eh?

I'm gonna quote a comment I put before on the feedback forum.

"What about random generated Events?
-An event is generated randomly with a random track and car type restrictions including: Drivetrain type, HP, weight and/or some other restrictions.
-When the player completes the event with Gold (1st place), the event is replaced with a new event. Also the player is able to skip an event after completing it once, without the need of getting Gold. (so players don't get stuck.)
-Ability to adjust the event difficulty from easy to hard. the harder the difficulty level more restrictions and laps are added.
-An easy race is worth 200,000 Cr. for first place. 5 laps*
A medium race is worth 500,000 Cr for first place. 10 laps*
A Hard race is worth 1,000,000 Cr for first place. 20 laps*
*Number of laps are set differently depending on the track's length."

Anyways I hope this game can be fixed soon, players want to get all cars fast and I don't think that's a bad thing, let us enjoy the game the way we want. I can't even play online, I get disconnected very often and only in this game, my NAT is type 2 etc, and there's no way I can get online and have fun.

I really just wish GT5 had a little more credits after finishing a race and way and ability to sell my prize cars.
