I recently got a buttkicker, but I can't figure out how to feel the Rumble Strips and crashes on both sides of the road. I'm using the provided splitter depending if I attach it to the Red or White wire I only feel feedback on one side.

I have heard about the Stereo to Mono Couplers but I'm only finding one brand and it's $40 with shipping. Does everyone that has a buttkicker use one of these couplers? Or am I missing something. I only play GT5.

That's a very interesting question.

If all goes well, i will get mine also later this week and would realy love to hear the answer to your question.

The question was answered the other day in thread in which you read about the stereo > mono coupler.

Either you use the Sub Pre-Output from your amplifier or if you're stuck with stereo gaming right now you will need either the coupler or a second BKG2, which might be the better solution in the long run.

Thanks for the answer, I may have posted in the thread but never thought to check back for the answer to this question as the title was "Amazon has Buttkickers in stock"

So my next question is are there any other coupler options besides http://www.edcorusa.com/p/5/s2m? I'm in the USA, not seeing anything at Radio Shack.

I've had a Buttkicker Gamer for many years now and your best option for L & R output is to use (2) Gamers or even better (2) BK-SK's both with their own amps.

Not everyone will agree with this soulution , but it will work. Cut the 2 ends off 1 end of rca jack wire the 4 wires together (+2+, -2-) wire back to 1 rca jack and bingo bongo you got all the rumble. Did this exact same thing when first got my bk2.

This. Well, this and appropriate installation.

You should definitely go ahead and do this. Just make sure you sit down and VERY carefully strip the insulation with your sharpest exacto-knife as there are only a couple of strands of copper to transfer the signal, and of course make sure they don't touch in any way when you tape them up.

Do you guys or anybody else have any ideas how I could mount two Gamer 2's to an rSeat? I guess you could fit 2 on the center post but that would be kind of pointless? Right?

It would be pointless, yeah. The whole point of getting separate feedback from the L and R channels is to actually feel the rumble on the side of your cockpit it's coming from in-game. You'd need to install them under your seat, one on the right and one on the left.

I don't know the rSeat so I can't help there. You could try and remove the seat and mount it on a wooden board, then attach some sort of poles on each side to mount the BKs.

Can anyone confirm this will not harm my console?

Thanks everyone for the replies. I have it figured out now. Attached two sockets to the bolts in the rear of the rSeat, simple as that. I have one side on already and it feels way better and I don't have to crank it up as high either. The mount is right at the side of you butt. The other way was honestly shaking the hell out of my floor. I will post a pic once I attach the second Buttkicker. :D

I even found black sockets and I used a large rubber gasket to protect the frame. 👍

@HOODFIELD: Looking good this will give you some good tactile feedback:tup:

I finally received my BKG 2 yesterday. I have connected it to my Xbox and PS3, using multiple audio out.

As described above, i connected the Left and Right channels together (+ to + and - to - ) to give me feedback from left and right curbs.
The feedback in Forza / GT5 is great, but i'm still struggeling with feedback on my windows PC.

I use the Sub/center out from my Soundblaster X-fi, but odly the feedback on the consoles is better.

Can i connect the Center and Sub + and - wires from my PC together (like i did on the consoles) with out harming my X-fi or my Z5500?

Or even better connect a l/r channel to the center/sub channel ( + to + and - on - )

The game i'm struggling the most to get good "curbs feedback" is F1 2011 on my PC

Never mind this post. I recommended something that I didn't know it but it might ruin your amp.

There you go. 57 cents. That's all you need.
If you ever have to buy anything to do with cables of any kind go to monoprice. They can't be best. Super cheap and probably better then anything else you will find.

Hi, it has the following message "Warning: This cable is intended as a splitter only. Attempting to use it to combine a stereo signal into a mono signal can cause damage to your equipment"

Crazy!!!!
I never seen that. I'm using it on mine but haven't used it much. I'll delete my post.
