Nate's disclaimer: I am not a huge fan of piracy so that is not my intention, I own the game I wish to back-up. THIS THREAD IS NOT INTENDED TO PROMOTE DOWNLOADING ANY GAME YOU DO NOT OWN. ANY DOWNLOADING ANYONE DOES PUTS THE OWN USER AT RISK OF COMPUTER AND/OR GAMECUBE DAMAGE AND/OR LEGAL ACTION TAKEN AGAINST THEM.

If anyone in this forum is like me, I HATE scratches on any CDs or game discs.

I need to find a way to preserve the aging relic of the game Super Smash Brothers Melee (1.0, easiest to debug) but be able to still play it without worry of scratch.

I am also aware I will have to buy a blank mini-disc, but specifics on the disc I need are...well, needed.

Finally, doing the actual copying and how to do it.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. :)

If it's an old game, you're probably better off just buying another copy. It's usually a pretty big pain in the ass to copy console games.

I don't know much about gamecube, but it probably also involves modding your system in some way.
