How can I tell if my car (a gift) has been hacked?

I want nothing to do with these things, but I have lots of friends and I often have cars given to me.

Is there anyway to tell if a car is hacked by looking it's tuning while in the garage?

If an Integra's drivetrain was swapped out with a mid-rear drivetrain would it still say FF or would it say MR?

Just compare it to another car just like it. If it's been hacked, the numbers won't match up.

If Sony bans hybrid owners they won`t ask how and why. Just delete any received car if you`re in doubt about hybrid or not. A ban is not very likely though... Banning thousands of potential GT6 buyers isn`t very smart.

Get the car from the gift box, click "Tuning", then hit settings sheet.
Look for anything abnormal such as the car being an FF but has all power going to rear.

Or sony & pd dont care this is happening:dunce:

The most annoying thing someone could do to me is send me a car I want that's been slightly hybrided in a way that's not noticeable but makes the car slightly different than the version normally in the game.

But luckily I don't do a lot of trading so it's not a huge concern.

Nothing will happen until they find out about the Ferrari Enzo fitted with a Life Step Van drive train.

(Feel the brutal POWAH of the honda engine put put put!)

Short answer, not much.
I've herd you can even glitch a green tickets from non prize cars.
There is really not much you can do to pin point a glitch car at this point.
A few veteran traders quited the business after understanding how there's no rarity left in collecting cars.
To be honest I think not many abuse from the glitch thing, heck most of GT5 players are not even aware you can duplicate from your save data.

Some hybrids are obvious, some are not. Unless you are familiar with every little detail of a car, gear ratios, torque/hp curves etc. you'll never know. If it's a normal car in every respect but just has an LSD swap for example, it'll be exactly the same as the car it's supposed to be, but legally, it's a "hyrbid". In short, if in doubt, don't accept anything.
