I have about 750000 credits now and I want to buy a race tuned car. The problem is that I want to be able to test drive a few before deciding on one.

Question is...

What if I made a backup of my current game on a USB and disabled network access on my PS3? Could I purchase a car and play around with it and then reload my current status if I do not like the car?

What If I just disabled autosave? Could I buy a car and test it out and then restart the game If I dont like it?

What would happen if I tried to do these things while logged into PSN?

Just put your current game on a USB you do not have to disabled the network when you buy the car and you do not like the handling of the car quit the game and reload your save from your USB. PS I never use the autosave function.

create a online lobby. select one make car as race setting. pick a car from the list and test drive. if you like then go buy from dealer :)

This is the answer; use a USB flash drive, copy your savefile to the USB flash drive, buy cars, drive them, if you do not like them, exit game, copyyour savefile back from USB flash drive and you will have your Original savefile back, to eventually tast some more...

I want to test cars that are not the courtesy cars from arcade mode...

Wait, we can disable auto-save? I've never seen that?

UPDATE...

I could not figure out how to disable Autosave, is it through the game or consoles menu?

On the other hand restoring a backed up save from a USB works fine fore me. Now I buy cars just to take some photos with them and then I restore my backup once the pictures are taken :-P...
