Hey, Ive been looking around the strategies thread and i have noticed that there are a lot of ppl that choose the style of drifting closest to the inside of the track as possible, so here are some "close drifting" pics of mine...

P.S. I also assure u that all these drifts were successful and feel free to post up your own "close to the inside" pics of yours, remember more angle and close to the inside = 👍

The general belief is that as long as you keep all four tires on the track, the drift isn't too close (or too far).

Can you say, Drift photo mode thread? I can, it's right HERE

I hope have a lot of fun and find what you're looking for in terms of help and everything else.

The first n second pictures are awesome, looks tight...
I think drifting on the inside is easier to complete than drifting on the outside, since there is less room for error in losing traction from the back tires touching grass/dirt, but the tighter turns your makin look like ya have some good control

I like trying to get it into real tight at the begginning of the turn, then as I come out a get really close to the edge, as if im riding the edge of a cliff :scared:

as long as your not riding on the grass or dirt, than you are good to go. i prefer the ouside line, but i am a in-out-in kind of drifter.

lol yea im more of a curb driver so i basically just drift most or all of the turn on the inside or just even on the curb (if there is one) when possible, i feel that it takes more skill to do but thats just my opinion...and nice pics extreme. lol i thot this thread was locked...meh lol

There is no such thing as too close. There is wow! Damn, look at that!, and Hey!(clunk) Ah, that's where the wall was. If there is no wall I guess dropping a tire and going more than a quarter of the car would be too far.

lol ok everyone is gettin the wrong message...this thread was suppose to be based on inside/curb drifting and how close other members could make their drifts to the inside...i was just trying to come up with a creative title for my first thread...shoulda made that clearer lol

It's more situational for me. If I can stay close to the inside and keep my speed up with a good chance of making a clean exit, I'll go for it. Some places you have to go for the inside though, it just makes for a cleaner smoother line.

Like at the end of Trial Mountain....

just a couple more for your viewing pleasure :)

meh i dont use the dirt at all...i find it kind of a "messy" style of drifting...getting onto the curb and drifting on the inside makes me feel like takumi!..lol jus joking i know u guys dont need another sad initial D reference...

Yeah the Initial D'isms are getting old, and I have only been on here for a few days. Plus you really should start posting your pics in the Photo thread.
