I decided to have some fun... and drove a Contach in the Tour of Europe race. It gave me this field:

I won by a lot (5 seconds after being stationary for five at the start), and somehow:
1. The Esprit was about four seconds slower a lap than the Z4.
2. The Z4 was probably a bit slower than the Elise 111R although the Elise couldn't get past.
3. From halfway on the second lap (I gave it a slight nudge, it was obvious it was holding the Z4 and Elise up) the XKR performance lost twelve seconds. TWELVE. And I gave it just enough to let the Z4 in, it didn't even knock the XKR off the track.

How is it that I race a Lambo against an Elise???
Please help...

I don't know what happened there but I want it to happen to me! :)

also 10/12 cars were premium.. that's pretty rare too :)

It's pretty cool that you raced against an Elise driven by somebody with the last name Chapman.

90,000 Cr for the win after 200% login bonus.
Anyway... how can a car with less power (20hp) and more weight (100kgish) than another car... and the other car is a Lotus.

I think one would have to live in Kaz's brain to figure out why. This matches the lunacy of disparity so prevalent in the game. Enter a race with a Hyuara or FXX and get a Bugatti or Viper for the rabbit. Enter with a Bugatti or Viper and get the Pagani AND the FXX.

I think it's random. I hope they fix arcade though. Driving a stock GT86 in arcade you get put up against RX-7's and GT-R's

The AI choice as well as its aggressive behavior seems to be tied into how I drive offline, but it affects online AI too. I have two accounts, and the AI is different with both, even on the same day. Rabbits that show up close to 100% on one account are rare on the other. The current seasonal at Tokyo is an extreme example of their behavior. With one, it took me 6 times to get through the race without being punted into the statosphere, and a couple more to win. With the other, I won first time out and only got hit once. I've done this enough to believe its a function of the game and not an anomaly. The AI reacts to how we drive.

So drive like an a** and the races get harder. Neat system.
