how do i change controls on driving force gt

Hi, I have a driving force gt. It doesn't let me map the controls on it however. I can't change any of the controls which is pissing me off right now. how do i do it? Also is the wheel supposed to vibrate quickly from left to right before the start of a race? Mine does that but it is weird -- it never does anything like that in prologue.

You can change the controls when in cruise. Press start, then go to the options tab. Bring up the controllers, and steering wheel should be selected right now. But we don't want that so go down and find CUSTOM WHEEL. Select it, and then edit it to your liking.
As for the jerking, that happens to me to. Maybe it's some bug, Rockstar games are notorius for a crap load of bugs in their games (just saw a Saleen in cruise sink under the map it looks enough like a shark already).
