How do I fix my online issues?

I am no expert at all, that's why I'm asking you :)

I have a couple of problems, probably they are all cause by the same thing, what it is I don't know.

*If I host a lobby, nobody can connect to the lobby. Their auto-message won't be typed before they are disconnected again.

*IF people can join my lobby, they can't make car setting changes, change car or change the various settings as TC and tyres without being unable to go to the track.

*I can join most lobbies. But if there are more than 8 people, I have the problems in point 2 OR all cars will stop when I go to track and I will have to leave otherwise I get disconnected when race starts.​

I'm using a WIRED connection, NAT type 2.


I hope that some of you have suggestions to what may cause my problems.

I'm pretty sure they are forwarded, I have NAT2, so it shouldn't be a problem. Will try and look at it though.

Pot of luck - I'm guessing the pot is all empty then, 'cause it doesn't matter who the host is, if there are more than 8 or 9 people in the room I WILL have issues.
 
I was having lots of issues with a NAT2 connection to my wireless router. I originally thought the Ethernet port on my modem was disabled by the cable company. If you have a router the modem is only for digital phone. I decided to connect ps3 to the modem Ethernet port and to my surprise it works. I now have a NAT1 connection and haven't had a problem with any game since. It's weird cause only the Nat type changed. My upload, download, and ping haven't changed.

I'm not saying this is your issue as nat1 and nat2 are supposed to work decently. In my case though, it seems Nat type does matter. If you want the best set-up, I believe nat1 is the way to go.
