Hi all, I have been downloading a lot of youtube videos through my computer of like Top Gear and stuff like that. Now the question is how do I put them in my Itouch?, because I have tried putting them in through itunes and it cannot put them in at all. They are in mp4 format.:)

You first have to convert it. Try the Any Video Converter of an Ipod touch converter. Then I think iTunes should recognize it.

In AVC, I use Customized MP4 Movie* with these settings:

The 480x320 is for widescreen so the frame size will need to be adjusted for 4x3. Other than that, I pretty much leave everything else alone.

Just Google 'FREE YOUTUBE TO MP4 CONVERTER' and that does it all for you

I finally found out how to put them in to itunes themselves, so in reality there was nothing wrong with the formats of the videos. I just did not know how to put them in. And now I could watch them on my Itouch, thanks for everything guys.

I was wondering that, being they were already mp4 files. At least you got it all sorted out. 👍

The easiest way is to use a program called MediaCoder that you can get from www.mediacoderhq.com - the standard version is pretty complex, but they have an iPod/iPhone specific variation of this program that will simplify the conversion process for you by choosing all the proper codecs and settings by default. All you have to do is tell it how to crop and set the bitrate.
