As some of you may know, each time I try to play GTAV while connected to PSN, my game freezes. I can only play while I am logged off.

I tried reinstalling my Install data, but that didn't work. I can't seem to find the patch data so I could reinstall it. This is getting so frustrating because I want to play with my friends and get the $500K stimulus package from Rockstar.

It doesnt try to download the updates as soon as you start the game?
Are sure you deleted everything?

And they released a "stimulus check"!?

I'm on the current update. I deleted the install, reinstalled it, and played GTAV in singleplayer offline.

There were two files in the area where this patch data is supposedly located: The GTAV install, and the atomic blimp unlock.

EDIT: The stimulus check is coming out soon for everyone as compensation for deleted characters and other bugs.

I keep going to Game > Game Data Utility, but its not showing up. Only the install and the blimp unlock.

If I go to Game > Save Data Utility (PS3), it has four GTAV slots: the autosave of Breach of Contract, Mission Replay, Surreal Estate, and Profile

Well on my system. The top icon appears to be the updates. Says version 1.03 39MB

The bottom apears to be the actual game data. At 8487MB.

I would recomend deleting both. Install the game offline then try to download the updates again after the install.

If you have attempted this. Sorry for not being of any help.

Sweet! I can finally stop being homeless and have somewhere to safely park my car!!!

edit. Im sure you will lose everything if you delete your profile save data. Unless it has become corrupt I would not delete it.

I want to know whether or not its a problem with the patch itself or the disc.

Is it used? How many times did you take out the disc?

Brand new disc. I only took it out a few times. Probably not even 10 times.

EDIT: Why does the patch data show up for everyone else, but not for me???

Well if its been since after the last update, I would assume the update data. If its been intermitent regardless of the last update. It could possibly be the data on the disk.

As far as a correct answer. I cant give one. A test I would reccomend is trying a friends disk or replace the disk and try the install again. If that doesnt fix it its something with your update data.

Lucky for me, I don't have friends that play GTA V. I'll try and get one of them to buy it, or atleast rent it.

Patches are with Game-Data.

Okay...

Are you sure the other file is the blimp? I have that unlocked and it isn't in game data. When you press triangle and information what does it say?

This might be a little far fetched but do you have default settings in your internet connection? Do you have the latest firmware update for your PS3?

I had a similar problem with the game after the latest PS3 update, I changed my connection settings back to default and everything worked. It's a long shot but it's worth the try.

It's a picture of the blimp and its 39MB, the same size as the file when I entered the code in the PS Store.

I know I'm on the latest PS3 update. I'll have to check the rest though.

Are you sure it's the blimp? Does it say update version 1.03? Because the update is 39Mb so I'm sure it's that. Just delete it anyway and try, if you do lose the blimp you can just redownload it.

When I hit triangle and bring up the information, it says Size, 39 MB; then Version: 1.03

Delete this?

Yes, that's the update data.

Oh. :embarrassed:

Well, I have to uhh... yeah. *Runs to PS3*

Remember guys, Don't be a CallmeDerp.

Well, derp :p.

Glad you could get it sorted out in time to be stimulated by R* :)

Me too! I was getting worried that it was a problem with the disc or my system. Didn't want to miss out on $500K.
