I'm in 9th grade, taking Math B, and we've done nothing but proofs this entire semester, and I don't know if I was spacing out when we were taught this little section, or I just wasn't here, but I've hit a full stop.

So far I have this for both Statements, and Reasons.... Needless to say, I haven't gotten far.

Statement: 1) RP is Parallel to TW
Reason: 1) Given

Could anyone nudge me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

I did this stuff in ninth grade as well, and I think I remember enough to help you.

Angles SRJ and JWT should be equal by some theory I can't remember...

Same with angles RSJ and JTW, and angles RJS and TJW are equal by alternate angles for something. So we know the triangles are similar. And then I think you can do something about similar parts.

Sorry for the vagueness, but this is the best I could do off the top of head. Does this seem correct?

Aaaah, I just got a piece! Vertical angles are win.

That's right, that last pair was vertical angles.

Let's just pretend I was useful. :dunce:

Hey, if I get it wrong, I have a review class tomorrow.

EDIT: Yep, the other questions are baffling, I'll just pay extra close attention tomorrow, and do some extra work to make up for these questions.

Good Night.
