How do i sync my sony universal remote to my bell reciever

Hey guys
Ive got an old 60" sony tv from bout 2004
And ive got a sattelite box from bell a couple years newer (bell is canadian for any americans reading this)
So ive lost the remote that the sattelite box came eth and its getting annoying gettig up to change the channels and stuff
So i tried to sync it but i couldnt get it to work so now ive come here
Can anyonehelp?

It's usually the other way around. Sync the Bell remote to the TV. That nd the way ours is anyway.

I know, i was hoping i could sync my tv remote though because i Dont want to waste 40 bucks on a bell remote

They shouldn't charge you for it? We got one remote per box for free, 3 remotes.

Well i havent got any of my remotes after i moved and i believe theyre 40$ on their website
