How can I make photos (to) reapear when they turned into this:

Last year during the summer I had a HD problem and I lost most of my photo's. I posted some of these photo's on GTP but most of them aren't visible anymore, some are.

Right-click in your web browser and select View Page Source. This should open up a new window filled with code for the web page. Go up to Edit --> Find (or Ctrl+F) and type .jpg (or .gif, .png, etc.) Select everything from http to .jpg and copy. In the case of your image above, it's "http://img21.imageshack.us/my.php?image=redcross.jpg" Open a new tab on your browser and paste what you just copied.

Also, to make the Page Source shorter and easier to navigate, I'd suggest clicking the post number in the top right corner of the post so you only have to dig through one post instead of 20+.

Fingers crossed that works. If you need any other help, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks TB

Doesn't work, I get the homepage of ImageShack were you can upload photos.

Any chance you could point me to a picture/post you are trying so I can give it a look?

Faster way is to right-click the image -> "copy image location" in FF ;)

In IE right-click the image -> properties -> copy "address".

Poke it with a stick! :D

No not when I uploaded those photos. I registered yesterday but that doesn't help either.

You sure that you didn't upload the red cross? X_X

Yep, I'm sure. I definetely uploaded photos.

Imageshack has dropped a large number of my pictures, and I've stopped using them and gone to Photobucket. I still use Imageshack if I want larger than 1024x768, which the largest Photoshop will host for free.

The fact that the post referred to is about 2 and a half years old raises the probability of lost images at Imageshack.

The image URLs in that post do not exist.

Edit: Damn, hit quote instead of edit. Brilliant!!!!
