anybody who tried the online time trials know that somebody hacked the pp system, the two first places at high speed ring time trial pro, is inhabitated by two F1 cars, on R3 tyres non the less, anybody who tried knows it is impossible to get the pp down low enough to be allowed to compete with the F1, and under no circumstance with r3 tyres, (why dont PD remove them from the list and ban them) and when they could hack that, doesnt that mean they could hack any race in time trial ? the best time in HSR max 500 pp points, he could have hack that so his car is at minimum weight and maximum power right, which means the time trials are a total waist of time, this really annoying, me, does anybody agree? or have a opinion on the matter ?

ps how is it even possible to hack the pp system? anybody knows ?

I don't know, what we all do know is that they did, and indeed, first few(????) places can be ignored. But it's a bit strong to state that time-trial is obosete.
I did the Suzuka time trial in the F430 a few nights ago, and came on 450-ish place, in other words I'm the 45x best driver on that track in any car!!!! now I'm still learning the best way to drive the car on pro settings so it is prety satisfying, if you disregard the lotusses on top of the list, I'll be up a few hundred places. Which reminds me, online time trial records should be kept and/or listed per car. For the 500 points trial I came in number 105 or so, not bad for a first timer... So it's not completely useless.

I don't have the F1 car, so i don't know what its PP range is, but i don't think they hacked the leaderboards. They might have reduced their down force, added weight to the car, who knows, in order to get under the points requirements. If you want to see a hacked leaderboard, go see Rainbow Six Vegas 2's!

*First post*:)

Euh, I thought it was stated that the F1 CANNOT be tuned to meet the PP-restriction for those races!!!! So lowering downforce, N1 tyres, adding all the weight and removing all the HP possible is not gonna cut it, the car is still not legible to enter those events. Still they did, now that seems like a hack to me...

If that's actually happening, why don't you guys report it?

The sooner this gets sorted, the better GT5 will be to prevent those things and keep those people away for as long as possible.

The rankings are done per track per car, so your the 45x fastest on that track with that same car.

People use to do this sort of thing on xbox live, but it needed a hacked disc and a modified console. There is no way of running pirate discs on the PS3, but I do wonder about all that data on the HDD. I can only assume they have found a way to modify that data without the game catching on. Maybe PD dont even check that the HDD data is correct?

Welcome to online gaming, my friend. It's full of hackers, no-lifers, e-relationships and 12 yr old, screaming kids, get used to it.

spoken like a true online gamer

at least PD has removed the two F1 cars on top så maybe they have noticed at last, wich is good!

Thats good they deleted them, but still i hate to say it :( PD has to copy - protect the gamesaves because hex editing the saves is sure the easiest way to cheat , which is ****

Tuning the car is restricted to the time trials contained within the online menu, and not the arcade one i believe :)
