How do time trials work?

Hi folks,

I decided to try out the new GT-R time trial. I never tried any of the previous time trials, this was my first. I'm a little bit confused as to how it works. As I understood it, if I managed a lap time below 1:42, I'd receive 300,000 Cr. I managed a 1:48, so shouldn't I have received 150,000 Cr?

You received the silver trophy with that time, so you should have received $150,000 plus the bronze prize of $50,000.

That's I was expecting, but I didn't receive any money. I did get the GT-R.

Then you went off track. If time clock is in a gold color you want off or hit something. Has to be in white to count

But if you go off track, that lap will become invalid. He did not earn the car from achieving a lap time including dirty racing.

You get the car just for taking part - you don't even have to complete a lap, dirty or otherwise.

In my version if you hit something or go offtrack the time goes red, not gold.

If you make a Gold time (1:42 for the GT-R TT Event) you will get the money from Silver and Bronze, but just once. If you go a second time and make it gold again, you will only receive the prize for the Gold.
