How do we Fix DISC ERRORS in vice city ???

OMG....i hate this , i get so many errors playing Vice city ! everytime i start a mission , or juss wander off , it FREEZES ON ME and it always say DISC errors !

ANYWAY TO FIX IT ????

That is a common problem in 4th gen PS2s. I assume that the PS2 makes clicking sounds when reading discs also? It means the the PS2 is having trouble reading the disc.

Clean the Vice City disc and the lens in the PS2. Do not use a lens cleaning CD to clean the PS2 lens, because I have found that it doesn't do any difference if you do.

To clean the lens you need to open up the PS2 console, and use a cotton bud with alcohol.
 
actually , i did all that what you said , and i clean the CD !:banghead:
 
Tell me what you did, and how... Also check for scratches on the disc.
 
Oh, and does the PS2 stuff up when you play other games and movies?
 
Stuff up as in getting disk read errors, or the PS2 making funny sounds when loading.
 
Call sont tech support at 1-800-345-sony and they will fix it for free most of the time.

My ps2 has been doing that, I called them, answered alot of questions and then got a service repair number so they would fix it for free. But no ps2 for 25 days for so..:(
 
i myself have a 4th gen ps2. i never had a problem with gta until i lent it to my friend and he said it froze his ps2 so i got it back and i played it and it didnt freeze but the more it played the worse it got and i got fed up with it and didnt play gta fer like a month and when i played it fer the first time in like a month it was fine so i think the more you play it or the more often you play the worse it gets
 
I think it's time for you to stop bringing back old threads, and use proper grammar.
 
I've heard that DVD cleaning discs can sort out PS2 disc problems (if it's happening on multiple games/DVDs).

But don't quote me on that.
