How do you add the gtplanet image in a signature?

I've had a look through the 'Site Feedback' forum for instructions on how to add the small gtplanet image to the signature but cannot find the answer.

It's only a small gif image. I've seen it appear in quite a few member's signatures.

This is what it looks like

I've tried adding the image in a link in the signature but it just purely shows the link to the image.

Can anyone help please! Thanks!
 
It's a smiley. : gtplanet : without the spaces.

It's not an image, per se, as images are not allowed in signatures. It's actually a smiley. You can put it in your signature by using :*gtplanet:

Just remove the asterisk. :)

How do you mean? Once signatures are set, they stay like that. Is yours changing?

You just made me realise that my sig hasn't been changed in years! Maybe 4 or 5!! Time to change those out of date links.

Click "My GTPlanet" under your nickname (top right) and then choose Settings & Options -> Edit Signature, from the menu on the left.

You can then save it.

Telling them where to find it is certainly the way to go (teach to fish/give a fish) but just as a heads up, you can also link straight to Edit Signature, too.

Well, as it turns out, not even giving the fish on a plate... :p
