How do you disable G27 paddle shifters?

Hi there,

A local car magazine in my country is hosting a 24 hour GT race soon and wanted to enforce H-pattern shifting with clutch. Unfortunately, it's hard to police since teams could just flick the paddle shifters right behind the wheel. Is there any way of disabling them? Or maybe even modding the wheel so that they come off, then can be put back on after the race?

You can take them off, was actually going to do that for mine and remake some bigger paddles. Just have to undo the screws holding the wheel in, then undo the screws holding the paddles in (2 in each paddle IIRC) then you can put the wheel back on and presto, no paddles. Just do it in reverse to put them back on.

Yes they are L1 and R1, they could be assigned to look left/right.
