I have tried gicing power and holding the steering one way but thats hard.....hehe

drifting can be done with any car layout, not just 4wd and fr. 4wd is actually a powerslide because you are sliding all 4 of the tires, not just the rear.
any MR or rear engine (RUF) cars are gonna be impossibly hard to drift with and require too much skill :)
i found practiceing with a ff car is a nice easy way to start.
throw some super-softs up front and some normal tires out back.
stiffen up the front and make the back as loose as possible (in suspension settings).
put front brakes to about 9 and rear to 24, take off tcs and asm, and hit the string course. when coming to a turn in the ff, tap the brakes and use the analog stik to turn into the turn hard, the back should begin to slide, oush the stick to oposite lock and use the gas to try and keep the back sliding. these drifts in ff won't be anythng spectacular but will give you a start as to what to look for.
Then get a supra rz, give a good amount of power (not fully modified though) and all the suspension, tranny, etc.. mods as normal. set it up the same way as the ff and hit the super-string course. you should be able to get the back end out with a good chink of throttle whil just begining your turn. Now give opposite lock and modulate the throttle to keep the back sliding along.
You will spin, a lot, and you may think this is not working but because this is a game and you can't feel the car slide like in real life it takes a LOT of practice and patience.
hoped this helped a little

hey now, mid and rear engined cars come ready to drift ;) heavy cars as well. a true drift is from letting off throttle although there's many ways to get one started..

sweet thnx.

you I got the Japanese version and I can read ****....hehe

someone mind posting up which settins # it is in the menu....there is like shocks, shock obsurbers, ride hide....eh......and the brakes lol which menu is it?

I dunno how i play this game :P

Thanks to CudaMan for these sets. I use faint drift to initiate.

I don't know about drifting but that video was awesome!!! ;)

lol

thnx a lot! Can u drift with any car? or only the ugly silvia :P

I SHALL DRIFT WITH ALL THE CAR :)

Im making a video, and Im gonna try and drift with some of the worst cars in the game, like the MINI COOPER :D

My favorite is Mazda RX7 RZ. Those sets are a pretty good starting point for most cars.
Nizmo 400, Viper, Ae86 , The Silvias and RX7's are all good drifters.

ok guys, can any of u do me a BIG ASS favour?

Tell me what THINGS to buy....mines in Japanese and I cant read it. SO I need help....

Please list EXACTLY how to get to these (ALL) points...immagine I have NO words hehe, and explain it like to a kid for example "suspension is in settings, 2nd option, then right 3 spots and then down 2 u see a pic of a thong" that would be good!

PLEASE :D

Assuming you know how to get to tune shop, and the settings thing. All Tune shop menus are arranged left to right (ecept for main screen) least to greatest. All directions start at main tune shop screen.
Mods:
- Full Racing Suspension
First option (with pic of strut and brake) -> third from left.
- Sports Brakes & Balance Controller
1st option (same as suspension) -> the 4th from the left is sports brakes and the last is balance
- Stage 1 Turbo
4th option (ic of "s" shaped turbo") -> they are in order from left to right, stage 1 - 4.
- Racing Intercooler
4th option (same as turbos) -> intercollers are all the way right, the last one being the racing
- Racing Muffler and Sports Chip
2nd option (pic of front of engine) -> first 3 are mufflers (sports, semi-racing, and racing); next 3 are the N/A tunes (with pic of valves); then comes port polish (4th from right, with pic of arrows going in and out of cylinder); followed by balancing (pic of 2 pistons); then comes displacement up (again 2 pistons, but one is bigger then the other); the last is the racing chip (looks like a chip:)
- Full Racing Transmission and Triple Clutch and Racing Flywheel and LSD Full Customize
3rd option down (pic of 2 gearsets sideways) -> first 3 are clutches (pic of triangle thingy); the next 3 circle icons are the flywheels; then there is one driveshaft (pic of diagonal driveshaft); the next 4 are trannies (the 4th of those is the full customize); then the final 4 icons are for the diffs (the one all the way to the right is full custom diff)
- Weight Reduction Stage 3
last option (pic of chip and 2 sideways 'p' looking things) -> the first 3 are weight reductions (must be done in order); the 2nd from the RIGHT is yaw control; the last is the variable center diff for the 4wd cars
- Simulation Tires [this is important! With other tires, the car won't have enough power to sustain a long drift]
Tires are the 2nd to last option with a pic of a wheel -> the first one is the simulation, next is sports then 3rd is racing, the last is dirt

ok, for setting stuff I am just going to give you a breakdown of the menus there. From the pre-race screen go to the 3rd icon from left, then you have a list of 5 options, the 2nd one down is settings:

(4 icons on top of screen are the categories and all peices are always: 'front settings on top, back settings on bottom')
First Icon of a Strut ->
SPRINGS
RIDEHEIGHT
SHOCK ABSORBERS (usually redded out)
SHOCK BOUND
SHOCK REBOUND
CAMBER ANGLE
TOE ANGLE
STABILIZERS
Second Icon of a Brake ->
BRAKE BALANCE
Third Icon of Tranny ->
LIMITED SLIP INITIAL TORQUE
" " ACCEL.
" " DECEL.
GEAR RATIO
first 7 are gears
8th is final drive
last is auto setup
Last Icon of sideways 'P's ->
DOWNFORCE
YAWCONTROL
STABILITY CONTROL
TRACTION CONTROL
VARIABLE DIFF FOR 4WD CARS

I hope this helps a little. Mabey try and find an english ver???? :P
Good luck!

damn higgi. with college, gaming and all that typing, i dont know how you find time for sex and sleep. forget about eating, your a twig :P

OH, and that video of mustang vs. camaro was sweet! i was a bit suprised to see the mustang get dogged like that (im a fan of chevy, but i cant stand the newer camaro's. they look like dog poooo poooo...ahahhahahahahaaaaa) i think the camaro won only because whoever was driving the mustang sucked :darkside:

:D :D I have just won the Honda s2000 race car and found that it was amazing to drift with - It just kicks the back end out and with a little steering and throttle skill it just flies round the corner!!! jw :D :D :D
