Well?

i'll admit it, i can be anal-retentive when it comes to my games. chronologically, and alphabetically for the older systems.

Err, whatever damn way i want! (No, i actually keep my PS2 games in alphabetical order, but my PC games are all over the place)

Things that I'm playing are usually on top of my Ps2, games that I like and go back to get stacked on the shelves in the order in which I like them. Games I've beaten/ am sick of or just don't like get shelved.

I have the games that are similar next to each other, but not in any real order. Like I have all of my sports games in one group, racing in another, RE, MGS, etc in another. That's about all the games I have... Sports and Strategy....

Games in heavy rotation (usually 3 or 4 at a time) sit beside the PS2. The rest are shelved in the order I got them.

And space, your sig is cool. That's the old-skool. :D

Actually Space, I thought you were in one of those two Counterstrike Clans. Now I see what it really is. I can't say I remembered the first one, but the second was my best friend. ;)
It ranks right up there with 6789878767653 for me.

I have a CD case for all my consoles except PS2. They get sorted in order by console. I only have two PS2 games to worry about so I just stack them next to each other next to the PS2. GT3 is on top right now.

I am an ass when it comes to this. I have them buy chronological order and when a friend comes over and mixes them all up I am ready to shoot him.

The game discs themselves (Xbox)? Somewhere on the floor under or behind the TV cabinet. I buy it ... I take it home ... I rip it to the hard drive (which files it alphabetically, I think) ... I put it on top of the TV ... it falls of the back, or off the front and gets kicked underneath until I need the user manual ..... :P

Why play them on your computer? Is your TV really that bad, or do you just hate the XBox controller, or do you not own an XBox?

You misunderstand. I have a 120+ gig IBM 7200rpm HD in my Xbox (the Xbox can only read up to about 137 gig, so anything larger than that and you waste what's left). I also have an OzXChip. This means I don't have to change disks - the only time I have to touch the console is to power it up, or to put a newly bought game onto it. I've got about 20 games on it now, plus about 200 old nintendo games such as frogger and space invaders. And I've still got about 70 gig left on the drive. It's hooked up to a Sony Trinitron and a Sony 5.1 stereo. It's not the greatest setup in the world, but it's nothing to complain about. My nest step is ADSL - the 33,6 modem connection sucks. Oh, and it's networked to my PC (a lowly P3 450), so I can modify game files (for example, in DOA3, I can copy Tina and have her model play as Helena, or I can have two Lei Fangs in the same costume fighting against each other ... just fun, weird stuff). I can also grab MPEGs and the like straight from the PC and play them on my TV and stereo. I cannot play the games on my PC though, but why would I want to? I guess it would make taking screen-shots easier .....

I employ the well known 'gravity' method - where they drop is where they're filed. That said - all games go back into the right cases. The other half's a bit of a notorious 'wrong CD in wrong case' filer, which resulted in a 4 hour CD audit after we moved last year.

Err... uncheck?

Jeese Kivran! Why not just get a new P4, 3ghz computer and use a gamepad or two? Then you could hook that up to your TV assuming you get a decent videocard.

It's an excellent idea ... and I'll be upgrading sometime this year ... but I haven't yet found an Xbox emulator that doesn't contain a trojan, or that actually works. If you know of one, please let me know - it's a bit of a holy grail for me at the moment.
