The first map you see of test track shows a large infieled area.
Does anyone know how to drive into that area?
I guess I am a Tron wannabe........

1. Drive one lap around track.
2. Watch Replay and look to the right of your car.
3. If you notice the picture (map?) before selecting the course, you can see it's at one of the two large circular corners. In the replay, make sure you look past the right edge of the road and you'll notice it's on the outside of the course. In a word, there's no way to get to the "infield"

Hope that helps. 👍

It seems like you'd be able to get in there if there was a way to avoid invoking autopilot in the pits.
It looks like there's something on the hill to the right of the first turn as well, but that's even more impossible to get to, unless somebody comes up with a 'drive through walls' code.

What you're talking about is a track "breakout"...there were several tracks in GT3 that one could do this at (SSR5, Côte d'Azur, Seattle, and I've heard of folks doing it at SSR11), and I've heard of at least one breakout in GT2 (Laguna Seca).

AFAIK, no one has managed a breakout in GT4.

You can break out of test course with the Action Replay Mega Turbo Code (one of my friends showed me it, I haven't got one) - Just hold down the turbo until you're doing a few thousand mph and plough into the wall - through you go and outside, where you can carry on accelerating til the PS2 freezes. Never seen anyone get into the infield though.

There was also an area to do it at Motorsports Land in GT2.

Has anyone considered the possibility that the infield has Gymkhana, Beginner's Course, and the other one (the one Mr. Can't Pass [B-Spec] can't do right) in it?

If you go into simulation mode, you can go to the test track and it shuld be one of the tracks you can select.
