Hey guys, I see so many threads where people post photos that have been post edited. I have no idea what you do but most of them look really good. So what do you guys do to them? I have the whole cs5 master collection so I have a slew of programs that could be used. And I have gimp.

I would just like to know what you guys do to make your photo's look so good =D

Well there are a series of methods and techniques you can use to get great results from your photographs. I believe its mainly down to personal preference. Photoshop is great for a lot of things, so you have got the right software at your disposal. I feel its all about playing around with different techniques to achieve different results, which then maybe could develop into a personal style of yours. So my main point is to just experiment with different things. Hope this helps.

Cheers.brad.:)

I don't do much. I normally just crop, sharpen it up (since 99% of the time it's blurry), kick up the Levels, play with Color Balance...

once in a while I'll mess with the saturation, exposure, and blur.

I personally don't do much. I tend to bring the shadows up (my lens lacks contrast) and possibly a play around with saturation and colour balance (again my reds come out as orange). That's about it really, I know I could spend more time on PP but I don't have the time or the inclination. I find the process of taking the shot more fun than seeing the result in most cases!

FYI, guys - this was originally in the GT5 section so he's mainly looking for tips on Photomode, not real cameras. 👍
