How do you turn off Ghost??

I know there is a way to turn off the ghost in seasonal events time trials but I can't remember how it is done. Can someone tell me how it's done. I hate that stupid thing. I can't see where my marks are or concentrate on where I am going. Get that stupid car out of my way. PLEASE!!!!
