How do you want quick match to function?

Lets keep it realistic. What do you think PD will deliver to us in the imminent patch 1.03? Will there be modes, amateur, intermediate, professional? Will tunes be allowed, assists, damage? What kind of PP limit do you think there will be?

I'm guessing it will give us the classic

- Race for Fun, Race for Real, Free Run, Drift
- Regional/World

Kind of options we get when we are looking for a lobby to join. Hopefully it's more detailed but.. We'll see.

Finding room what has settings what match current car, and some preferred options like realism (grip slipstream etc).

Hopefully they first make current room search better, and more information giving view..

You don't think it is just going to throw us in an already made room in the lobby section do you?

I wonder if it'll try and put people of possibly similar skill to one and other? Eg. I have S Licience, and have won 100 odd races, it should put me with someone similar? I agree that the filters for 'drive for fun' or 'realism' ect, should and will likely be in there, but I just wonder if they'll be another dimension as well.

My guess is it'll try to match PP on track you choose with the "type" of race you want. Get ready to see all sorts of high PP cars detuned to win against legit lower PP cars. The 12yo crowd will run rampant.

Seeing the grids in a-spec I cant imagine this working in a very acceptable way at all :(

It should be like GT5P, tracks and PP are specified so you choose a car and join. It matches you with others trying to join that event.

Guess? How's this?

Beginner events = 4. FF, FR, 4WD and MR. Each with a PP limit, SRF allowed, Race tyres allowed.

Intermediate Events = 4. Same as above but Race tyres banned so only road tyres. SRF allowed.

Professional Events = 8. first 4 will by PP limited and drive train limited (FF, RF, 4WD & MR) to allow tuning to give the tuners their day in the sun. No driver aids

The other 4 races will also be drive train limited but this time will specify a specific car and no tuning allowed, so the driver is the difference. No Driver aids.

Tracks and PP level/specified car changes every two weeks.
