How do you....

I am confused about the whole drifting thing I tried what everyone said but my car just wont do it most of the time. What to do get a new car or upgrade or down grade? But thats the thing can't upgrade and my car already has less than 300 hp :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

my trueno only has 167hp..its not about the power at all. you normally need everything available for the drivetrain, full suspension, and tires that match your hp. the rest is actually learning how to drift.

when it comes to FR, driving skill is what's important, but my ZZII drifts at 936hp really easily, After actually drifting it, I've learned to use sim tires on low power cars like the trueno and STi (300hp)

And low power SIM drifitng, i think, is about leaving the throttle open to more acceleration, I've learned you just cant full throttle yourself into a turn. Gotta take a turn as natural as possible in FR sim drifting.

Well once I got a hold of just the right car for me, the ability to drift was instantaneous, now I can drift about any car I drive if it's set up properly.

Well I know its less about the car and more about the skill so I'll lower the hp and get beter tires

No, for better tires you will need more hp. keep it at 250-300 for sims, 400-550 for normals. And make sure ASM is set to zero that is the most important thing.

yeah, pretty much what they all said...I pretty much learned to drift using a bone stock FD rx7 RZ. It's probably the easiest stock car to drift...even easier with some simulation tires.

..Forget it.it's official..I HATE FR drifting...AWD drifting is sooo much easier....1/2 the time you don't need any throttle or brake..or counter steering..or ANY steering..

I wish I had a sharkport and a card....I just got a flawless dori lap...Every corner..So so nice....Hail 22B's...

yes the 22b is brilliant... and 4wd drift is fun... the point if to get the right slip angle initially so that no steering is needed to get out of a turn... just acc... it looks strange but really cool...

Lol Bengee...I got a replay of myself hauling it down the straight on apricot hill, and then a slight feint and the e-brake to get sideways..And nothing else..No steering no brake no accelerator and got the full 2 curve drift

yup. when drifting my R34, i usually dont have to countersteer. once you get the tail out, its all about wut angle you enter the corner at and throttle play. feint drifting, i find, is easier to do in a 4wd cuz you can swing around the car as you like....most of the time.
