This may sound a little dumb, but I've never ever hosted or created a site to host anything on the web. Next Tuesday I'm off to the NEC motorshow live in Birmingham and I'm planning on putting up plenty of pics but I don't want to have to reduce them all in size and up load them one per post. How would I put these pics onto a site, I have 10 megs of internet space but I've never used it and I don't know how to tbh.

Get hold of an FTP programme - WS_FTP LE will do nicely (if you say you're a student/employee of an educational institution, it's free. I work in a school - bada-bing!). Find out the FTP address of the site you wish to upload stuff to. Make a new connection with WS_FTP, inputting the FTP server, your password and username and upload away.

angelfire lets you have no limits on size adn 20 megs of space, plus it's free. i believ you can upload multiple pics, too. not much bandwidth per month but it is fast.

Who's your ISP? Odds are you probably get a free 10mb or whatever with your monthly access fee. That's where I throw most of my odd and assorted images I find. I had a small site started but I haven't updated it in literally 5 years.

I use a freeware programe called FTPExplorer which lets you make a connection (the site address, username, and password format will be provided by whoever is giving you the host space), then you just drag and drop files to the FTPE window. You can create directories to organize stuff, too.

I'm with NTL and they gave me 10mb when I signed up. Thanks for the help guys.
