I have noticed in the forums and while online racing, these "cops" rooms. Can anyone enlighten as to what they are and how they work?

Drive a set speed limit following real life laws, cops are there for violations in pace cars. Thats a good hosted room. Most are suicidal 8 year olds ramming you at 200mph with a Lamborghini.

Thanks Slashfan. Why do people use these rooms though? Is it to chat/meet other racers or show your car off?

Just for fun :) interesting to drive sports cars like real life if you can't get them

I joined one once just to see what they were all about, lets just say, as a society we need to promote the usage of birth control more, and that's a nice way of putting it..

Hahaha.. I think I will stick to shuffle races and my regular rooms. I have enough trouble with real cops on real roads.

If you manage to find a good host the rooms can be really enjoyable. Always fun to see 6 pace cars chasing a random Corvette while everyone is following the rules.

This.

When its done following the rules and with good players, its awesome.

It's the same for all rooms. Even racing rooms, with disturbing kids and bad players will make it a crappy experience. Same for cop rooms.

But, how does one use a blinker? And, can I drive around with my lights on to inform the other drivers that there's cops, without getting a ticket?

I believe you can assign it to a button in the settings. I think it's named “flash light and high/low beam”.

i remember joining a cops room once, it was in a Toscana Tarmac custom track. I purposely drove on the wrong side of the road head-on towards a Pace Car, then evaded him at the last moment (of course that triggers a pursuit :)). We were driving the course in reverse direction, with me typing on the chatbox "You'll never take me alive, coppers!!". Somewhere else on the course there was another pursuit happening, and because of that I had a plan. Then as I passed the other pursuit, I did a U-turn, and so did the cop chasing me. The other pursuit ended in a pile-up in front of me, but I managed to squeeze my way through that. The cop chasing me, however, was unable to squeeze and got stuck. Seeing as he was immobilized, I sped my way to freedom. It was really epic. :sly::sly::sly:

so yeah, cops rooms are really fun when everyone plays their part. 👍
