How does this work?

Hey everyone. I'm new to the forums. I've been reading around and have no idea how this online racing works without intergration in to the game. Is it like Halo on the Xbox, where 3rd party computer software is used and the game is played online, or what? I read that you post times, but I also heard someone say that a network could be setup for members. I'm confused.

First of all, welcome to GTPlanet! Hope your stay is a good one


The Races & challenges all work pretty much this way:
-Someone sets up the challenge and posts it here,
-We all read it and decide to participate (or not)
-Each goes home to his respective gaming consoles and sets up the race as listed in the challenge, then
-We all come back and post our times for comparison

Simple as that!
