How far down the road can we expect Virtual Reality for GT?

After reading the recent cover story in WIRED about the Oculus Rift and learning about Sony's Project Morpheus I am suddenly realizing what this will mean for the future of racing simulators and how perfect they are for a VR setting. As the topic of this post says...how far down the road can we expect a VR version of Gran Turismo? GT8?
