Not too fast at all. Would be better if PD but this Tesla in the game.

Its the Tesla Nascar.

I tested these car's in the game and here's what i got.

I picked out a Lotus Evora 09 to face off against the Tesla Roadster 08 since the Evora has the same hp but weigh's 102kg's more and the track i picked was Mazda Laguna Seca.

Lotus Evora 09: 277HP 1,330 KG 252 Ft-lb 3,456cc 460PP

Tesla Roadster 08: 277HP 1,238 KG 273 Ft-lb N/Acc 463PP

The Lotus's time was a 1:41.870. The Tesla's was a 1:41.868. Talk about a photo finish.

I just did the same thing, both cars bone stock at Laguna Seca. I gave myself five laps in each, two to feel the car out and then three flying laps. For both cars the fastest lap came on lap 5, but, also in both cars, all three flying laps were within a few 10ths of each other.

Results:

Lotus: 1:39.121
Tesla: 1:40.863

Not even close. Despite the weight advantage, the Tesla was nearly 1.75 seconds/lap slower than the Evora and the Evora was much better to drive on top of that. Where the Tesla pushed fairly noticeably, the Evora was much more willing to rotate and turn in to a corner. The Tesla's tendency to understeer made it more benign, but the Evora was clearly the faster car.

With the right suspension tune I'm sure the Tesla can come around, but out of the box it's just not competitive against the gasoline-powered cars in its PP class.

My results mirror those of SuzukaStar; on equal tires, the Evora is faster than the Tesla if the driver can adapt to the Evora's twitchier handling.

They ain't got no CVT. :D The electric motor is mounted directly via a differential to the wheels. It doesn't have any variation in gears. I get your point though. It should have a gearbox, certainly because electric motors deliver most of the torque at low rpm's.
You're right it does have a direct drive. My bad

It would be epic if the Model X comes to any car game this year. Just a thought.

Obviously, the P85D would be greeat, but the Model X even more so for different reasons.

Who said I'm going slow? I drive as fast as I possibly can, no matter what tire I'm using.
I dont say you're going slow, I say you must take corners much slower than on better tires, therefore I dont think you can realise the car's true potential with those tires because they dont offer enough grip, thats my opinion.

If I was going for true potential, wouldn't I just put Racing Soft on everything? That's no fun though, too easy.

That gives me an idea though. For GT7, I will test every car on both CH and RS tires!

Well, honestly If I were to do what you're doing, I'd put sports hard on all cars, but each to its own.

Why not just use the tire that comes with the car...

Because to get an accurate comparison between cars, they should be on the same tire compound. If you're comparing a car on Comfort tires to another car on Sport tires, that's unfair. Same reason I hate comparison tests in real life, because they don't use the same tires on the cars they are comparing.
