How fast can you get the train to go.

I was just doing the frieght missions and at speed 47 you run the risk of de-railment.
I was just wondering how fast you guys can get it before it de-rails.

I had a quick go now and i just got a 62.(gonna be hard to beat??)

where does it shows the speed?
 
Hit R3 to start the train missions, speed is one of the various mission statistics it gives you.
 
62?!?

howd u manage that one? i managed to do something like 52 or 53 and it derailed when i was going in a straight line.
 
What happens when it derails? Just blows up or goes off track and stop?

The train crashes are really cheesy. The cars separate and slide around and tip over. There's no damage or anything, it's doesn't even blow up.
 
i managed to get 60.
 
Also, hilariously, once the train is crashed, the cars weigh practically nothing and have no very little friction. If you crash in the right place, you can ride the engine for a loooong time.
I wonder if you could push it to a garage to repar it. And then drive it around on roads.

I doubt it. As soon as the train derails, the x button doesnt do anything. I have derailed and managed to get it back up but you cant do anything. :indiff:
 
Yeah, it probably wouldn't work. I want to get it to a garage just for the challenge of it now.

If you want a challenge, try and go faster than me on the train :sly:
 
I tried once and get up to 56 but then I failed the mission. :D
 
67mph :cool:
 
I managed 58 after a few tries. I'm sure I can do better. :)
