I am writing to formally report a significant balancing issue and potential bug within the World Touring Car 600 (Tokyo Expressway - 12 Laps) event in Gran Turismo 7.
During my recent race, I observed a complete lack of mechanical parity between the player and the AI competitors. Specifically, an AI-controlled vehicle completed 7 consecutive laps (and in some cases the entire race) without pitting for fuel or tires. Given the fuel consumption rates and tire wear forced upon the player in this specific event, it is mathematically impossible for the AI to achieve these results under the same game rules.
This "cheating" AI behavior:
Negates player strategy: Makes pit-stop planning irrelevant.
Affects Economy: Unfairly prevents players from earning the "Clean Race Bonus" and standard rewards after a significant time investment.
Breaks Immersion: Undermines the "Real Driving Simulator" branding.
I request that this be investigated by the development team at Polyphony Digital. The AI fuel and tire consumption multipliers need to be synchronized with the player’s requirements to ensure a fair and competitive experience.

Absolute idiocracy and needs to be addressed. **** you gt7.

Reading your rant you neglect to provide PROOF of said AI cheating. This proof is easily and best provided by posting the replay video. Be sure you watch each and every AI driver when they go into the pits, please take note that ALL AI drivers do pit in this race.
When you have this undeniable proof of the AI cheating please repost your rant again WITH the proof in your posting.
Thank you.

I didn't see you could add media. This is where I was directed to report this situation. If the DEV team wants to reach out I'll provide this info. Witch, I'm sure they won't. Picked up gt7 after about a year or so of not playing. I kept an eye on 1st place the entire race.. No pit.
So do what you will with that. Truly, I don't have anything to prove to you.
You claiming that every A.I racer pits when I just encountered this bug is crazy. Take a hike bum.

Fuel consumption depends on what car you're using, the fuel map and the driving style.

Tire wear depends on weight distribution, suspension setup and driving style.

It's been a long time since I did this race, but I think it’s possible for the player to complete it without pitting.

Gallo has an odd behavior on pitting the second time at Lap 9 just to refuel, but I think it was intended to level the playing field and allow the players to catch up.

But yes, it is entirely possible for the player to complete the race without the need to pit. Several race engine-swapped cars can do this. And there are even lightly modified to stock cars that can win this effortlessly with the correct strategy. All AI opponents will pit, with the real threat being Kokubun since he has a well balanced car.

There is a thread dedicated to the tips and strategies for the race itself. The AI may look intimidating but the race tests your strategy skills.

On previous patches, there was one, but rare instance that Kokubun DID NOT pit but ultimately ran out of fuel. It was the time when the Tomahawk X was the weapon of choice.

Neither of these things seem particularly nice, @Nicky-Nice...
GTPlanet is not just another disposable “video game forum” – it is a community and a home for thousands of like-minded people which has thrived since 2001. These rules have always been in place and remind everyone to put a little more thought into what they’re contributing to the community. In turn, this creates a more pleasant and attractive place for everyone.

They won't even if this were a bug, and it isn't.

GTPlanet isn't an official, or formal, communication channel; we're an independent media site, with no role in the development of or support for the game.

This is where I was directed to report this situation.
By whom?

And, as others have noted, you can watch your replays back from the vantage point of other cars, including the AI in single-player to check if they pit. You don't have to watch all 25+ minutes; advancing lap by lap should catch them (as the pit lane is alongside the start/finish) but you can also turn all the HUD data on, and watch the tyre indicators for when the tyres go from partly/largely red to full white again, then rewind in 10s intervals.

So, taking this issue at face-value:

I ran the race myself, and then followed my own directions with the replay:

In Normal difficulty, the lead three AI at the start of the race were Gallo (NSX '17), Fraga (Supra '98), and Kokubun (RE Amemiya RX-7). The lead three AI (behind me) at the end of the race were Kokubun, Suswillo (Nissan GT-R '17), and Gallo.

Gallo, on Sports Softs, pitted first of anyone in the entire field, and at the end of laps five and nine, taking fresh tyres and more fuel (61 and 5 litres) each time:

Suswillo, on Sports Mediums, was the next car to pit (though the majority pitted behind him), at the end of lap seven, taking fresh tyres and 70 litres of fuel:

Fraga was among the cars pitting behind him, taking on new Sports Mediums and 62 litres of fuel:

Oops, left the replay overlay on.

Kokubun, on Sports Softs, pitted at the end of lap eight, taking fresh tyres and 41 litres of fuel:

I also pitted at the end of lap eight, right behind Kokubun, on Sports Hards and took on 32 litres of fuel but no new tyres.

Outside those four AI: Beauvois, Grady, Takida, Haywood and Conomos pitted on lap six; Blazsan, Hizal, Miyazono and Gentry all pitted on lap seven.

Only Solis (Alfa Romeo 4C) and Yamanaka (Supra '20) almost made it to the end, both pitting at the end of lap ten and taking tyres (Sports Soft on the light 4C, Sports Medium on the Supra) and fuel.

That's all 15 AI, and all pitted for fuel and tyres. I could not recreate this issue.

I've saved my replay, and I can share it so that you can watch it yourself if you like.
