Part I.

To me, the most disappointing aspect of GT5 is the lack of quality single player races. Most the races are too short (3-10 laps), and many of the cars have little purpose (what am i supposed to do with all the rally cars?).

This issue, I think, could be fixed with relative ease.

My first idea:

If PD is indeed working on making some of the standard cars premiums, I hope one of those cars is the Formula Gran Turismo.

Afterwards, I'd really wish PD would give us some proper single player races for this car. Now that we have another Formula track, I wonder what exactly is preventing PD from giving a sort of mini Formula season. We already have Fuji Speedway, Suzuka Circuit (with weather), Nürburgring, Monza, Côte d’Azur, Laguna Seca, Indianapolis and now Spa Francorchamps; that's eight course which could host formula races.

Now give us proper races for each track (40-60 laps), raise the number of cars from 12 to 16 and throw in nice prize at the end (not some helmet or ticket but some nice cash and maybe a unique livery for the Formula Car to use next time) and that would instantly make the game more enjoyable.

Other cars, or rather car classes, are also under utilized (NASCAR) and the issues could be fixed in a similar fashion.

Yeah but longer races don't mean nothing if you overtake everyone on the first corner and spend the rest of the race trying not to fall asleep. A premium Formula Gran Turismo would be great but i don't think we will be seeing it anytime soon. I agree that there is a lack of quality races but in my opinion it's because they are not challenging enough.

Increasing the number of laps with races we have now would just make them more boring, but with better AI, more cars on track etc etc. racing would be much better.
