When I think of roundabouts, all I can think of is the countless movies where people get stuck in the damn things and end up driving around in circles for an hour...lol you crazy Brits. If you want rainy weather and old architecture just go live in Montreal. And Montreal is cheaper, with low drinking ages and plenty of women. lol

You guys are driving on the wrong side of the road which sucks hard.

Beats changing your mind and suddenly telling everyone to drive on the other side from midnight on.

Have the courage of your convictions!

That is by far the funniest automotive story I ever heard. Surreal too. There is surely no advantage over the right or the left side of the road though? Was Sweden feeling separated from the rest of mainland Europe?

i lived in seattle for 11 years so i know what cold is. So ill just wait for more replies until some of you can tell me a good area to move lol. Thanks for the feedback.

Move back to seattle! :D

Britain's a fairly good place to live. We have odd attitudes to things, our current Government is awful, but then that's little different to the previous one. A lot of stuff is really expensive, such as fuel, and property. Taxation is high, but it's all "stealth tax".

However, the proximity to continental Europe is good, insofar as it's easy to travel there, and the influences are generally beneficial, without any of the drawbacks of actually living there.

I would say that London is this Mecca, where people go because they want to be swept up in its magic. But there are a lot of other places where you can live better and in a calmer fashion. I'm Edinburgh based and love it. London's good for a weekend, but I generally find that I'm looking forward to leaving the place whenever I'm there.

When I got into work at 8 this morning, it was snowing very slightly. Then about an hour later it was pouring (well snow can't pour, but I mean there was a load of it) down. I'm glad I didn't drive in today, although now i'm at the mercy of ONE railways not to be delayed for 5 years.

I love cold weather so its all good. We had like -4 degrees in France on Feb 28th, coldest day of the week ha. Im back in America and I feel bored once again lol. Yeah i'll have to make frequent trips over to the UK to get a taste of things and stuff. Thanks for all the feedback guys its great!

Whats wrong with the USA, SP74? Arizona is a great state, Seattle is a great city, albeit gloomy. But why leave? Just think, if you expatriate to another country, especially the UK, how long you will be considered a tourist? I know what its like, Im from Las Vegas, NV, nobody is from there, only 6% are native including myself, and you cant go anywhere without people asking how long you are in town for. Multiply that by 100. Youre going to be "the Yank" for a long period of time.

BTW, Ive been reading this thread with an English accent, sorry.

You English accent is probably complete crap that you picked up off some cheap TV program.

If you want to do a welsh accent I'll put it like this...a few comedians over here end up sounding Pakistani when they try doing the welsh accent.

Don't worry. My english accent is rubbish, and I'm english.
